Documentary. USA 2016, 108 min. Directed by Jim Jarmusch. In English with Russian subtitles. A new film by Jim Jarmusch that tells the story of The Stooges, one of the greatest rock groups of all time. After they first appeared in Ann Arbor, Michigan during the countercultural revolution, The Stooges’ brand of sharp and aggressive rock ’n roll transformed the musical world at the end of the 1960s. In unleashing their mix of rock, blues, rhythm ’n blues, and jazz on the listening public, the group gave rise to what would later be known as punk and alternative rock. Recordings, archival film, fresh interviews, and a unique perspective create an original and impressive declaration of love for the cult group.
