American Film Festival
American Film Festival in Moscow was initiated in 2006 by a group of Americans and Russians in order to showcase new and classic American films, which otherwise would not be widely distributed in Russia. American Film Festival 2010 features 17 films by famous and critically acclaimed directors ("Social Network" by David Fincher, "Eat Pray Love" starring Julia Roberts, "Howl" (nominated for Golden Berlin Bear), "Audrey The Trainwreck" by Frank V. Ross, "Surveillance" (awarded Best Film prize at Catalonian International Film Festival), "Stone" starring Milla Jovovich, "And Everything is Going Fine" by Steven Soderbergh, Oscar-nominated "Nine" and many others. The festival opens with an absolute hit "Social Network" - a story about the founders of the social-networking website, Facebook - directed by David Fincher. All the films will be demonstrated in original language with Russian subtitles or simultaneous interpretation in headphones. Read more
