The Hermitage Ensemble of Soloists together with Vitaly Vatulya (saxophone), Maria Nemtsova (piano), Ilya Norshtein (Conductor & violin) will perform music of Molinelli, Gershwin, Bernstein, Monk. The July program of the ensemble "Hermitage", sustained in the style of crossover, will definitely decorate the summer season with compositions in which the boundaries between classics and jazz blur. The program includes a whole scattering of timeless and full of charm melodies of American classics George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein. Particular mood will bring the compositions of a wonderful jazz pianist and composer Telonius Monk. In the reading of the Hermitage ensemble, these compositions acquire "academic" elegance, especially if the conductor of the collective - violinist Ilya Nortstein takes over the function of the conductor. As is known, along with the academic classics of the highest standard, the ensemble "Hermitage" performs works created by modern authors. So, the semantic center of the July program will be the work of Roberto Molinelli for saxophone and orchestra, created in 2001 - "Four pictures from the life of New York": "Ghost Dawn", "Tango Club", "Sentimental Evening" and "Night on Broadway ". According to the composer, these are "four images of the world's most famous and universal megalopolis ... with the eyes of a European who is in love with its music and culture." MMDM Chamber Hall |
