Deutsche Staatsoper soloist, Russia-born soprano Anna Samuil performs romances and songs by Rimsky-Korsakov, Strauss, Chopin, arias from the operas by Mozart, Gounod, Puccini, Wagner, Tomasi. Anna started as a violinist graduating from the Moscow Conservatory violin department in 2000, but Irina Arkhipova (outstanding Russian mezzo-soprano, professor) discovered her brilliant soprano and Anna underwent vocal training as well. Anna Samuil is a laureate of several prestigious international competitions, including the famous Tchaikovsky International Competition (2002, third prize). For a few years Anna was a soloist of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko theatre until she was invited by Daniel Barenboim to sing in Deutsche Staatsoper. MMDM Chamber Hall |
