19:30 Bach: All Works for Organ
Soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society, Honored Artist of Russia, professor Alexander Fiseisky (organ) will present 9th concert of all works for organ by Bach from his cycle including 15 concerts. Professor Alexander Fiseisky was born in Moscow. He completed his studies in the Piano and Organ Departments at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow with distinction, and today has a reputation as one of the most famous and influential organists in Russia. He has given concerts in more than 30 countries, and amongst them some very special ones such as in the "Festival on the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War" in Vienna, and the "Special Concert for Parents, Children, and Families in Memory of the Children Murdered in Dunblane". In the Bach Anniversary Year of 2000 A. Fiseisky played the complete organ works of J.S. Bach four times in Germany (two times under the auspice of EXPO 2000 in Hanover, and once in a single day in Dusseldorf as Bach-Marathon). For this occasion he was given an entry in the book Records of the Planet Earth in Moscow. Several works by noted composers have been dedicated to him, and his musicological offerings (e.g. the anthologies Organ Music in Russia, Organ Music in the Baltic States, published by Berenreiter) have received first class notices everywhere. In 2009 a book about the history of organ and organ music was published by him in Russia.

19:00 Revich, Osetinskaya, Persimfans: Meta-Beethoven
BeethovenOn May 24th, 2015 in Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow House of Music Elena Revich (violin, curator), Polina Osetinskaya (piano) and "Persimfans" ensemble (the First Symphonic Ensemble which plays without conductor) will present an unique program "Meta-Beethoven" dedicated to the 245th anniversary of the outstanding German composer and pianist. The ladies of our academic scene together with experimenters from "Persimfans" will perform chamber, symphonic and other compositions by Beethoven. So the program will demonstrate whole variety of Beethoven's creation. The prefix "meta" which translates as "after", "under", "through" shows Beethoven's influence at world musical process. The first part of the concert will include fragments from Beethoven's symphonies and instrumental concerts performed by whole cast of the symphonic ensemble (60 people). The compositions of our contemporaries who have contributed their mite in understanding of Beethoven's music such as Brett Dean ("Testament" for 12 violas), Jörg Widmann ("Conbrio") and Iannis Xenakis (Dikhthas) will be performed in second part of the concert. In entr'acte in foyer Peter Aidu and soloists of "Persimfans" will play Beethoven's chamber compositions and compositions by his contemporaries at the historical instruments including "Brodwood" piano of 1820. "Meta-Beethoven" is really extraordinary program which was made by world known musicians. Elena Revich is the first violinist of "Soloists of Moscow" ensemble, the winner of international competitions. Polina Osetinskaya, an outstanding child prodigy, gave her first recital performance in The Great Hall of Vilnius at the early age of six. At the age of only nine, Ms. Osetinskaya performed Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto and Schumann's Piano Concerto within the same program. In 1991, Ms. Osetinskaya made her international debut in Sweden and Germany and was invited to participate in the "New Names" program by the Russian Cultural Federation and the Congress of the USA held in the Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C. Ms. Osetinskaya continues to perform extensively around the world appearing with internationally renowned orchestras. The first performance of "Persimfans" which has worked in Moscow from 1922 until 1933 included only Beethoven's compositions. The rebirth of "Persimfans" was initiated by Peter Aidu in 2008 and also began with Beethoven's "Heroic Symphony". The artists of "Persimfans" not only perform with concerts in our country and abroad but also show theatrical performances, organize lectures and exhibitions.
