19:00 Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra
Performer - Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra (artistic director - Vladimir Spivakov). Conducted by Vladimir Spivakov. Soloist - Vadim Gluzman (violin, Israel). In program: Bach. Concerto # 2 for violin and orchestra in E minor, BWV 1041; Mozart. Concerto # 3 for violin and orchestra in G major, KV 216; Mendelssohn. Octet for strings in E flat major, Op. 20; Part. "Collage on the theme of the B-A-C-H". A really European manner of ensemble performance, concern for tiny details and nuances, solicitous and creative interpretation of author's concepts, bright artistic talent and love both for the pieces performed and for the audience make the "Moscow Virtuosi" Orchestra and their leader Vladimir Spivakov so different from many other chamber orchestras. The orchestra stands away from aesthetic any snobbery and arrogant attitude to listeners, some of whom might have come to the concert quite by chance. To excite the audience emotionally and to enthrall intellectually every listener, even an ignorant one, to endow him with the pleasure of enjoining music masterpieces, to evoke the desire to come to chamber music concerts again are considered by the "Moscow Virtuosi" as the most important goals. Vadim Gluzman's extraordinary artistry brings back to life the glorious violinistic tradition of the 19th and 20th centuries. His wide repertoire embraces contemporary music and his performances are heard around the world through live broadcasts and a striking catalogue of award-winning recordings exclusively for the BIS label. The Israeli violinist appears regularly with major orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony, London Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, London Symphony, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Munich Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra and NHK Symphony; and with leading conductors including Neeme Jarvi, Michael Tilson Thomas, Andrew Litton, Marek Janowski, Itzhak Perlman, Tugan Sokhiev, Paavo Jarvi, Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos, Hannu Lintu and Peter Oundjian. His festival appearances include Verbier, Ravinia, Lockenhaus, Pablo Casals, Colmar, Jerusalem, and the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in Northbrook, Illinois, which was founded by Gluzman and pianist Angela Yoffe, his wife and long-standing recital partner. Born in the former Soviet Union in 1973, Vadim Gluzman began violin studies at age 7. Before moving to Israel in 1990, where he was a student of Yair Kless, he studied with Roman Sne in Latvia and Zakhar Bron in Russia. In the US his teachers were Arkady Fomin and, at the Juilliard School, the late Dorothy DeLay and Masao Kawasaki. Early in his career, Mr. Gluzman enjoyed the encouragement and support of Isaac Stern, and in 1994 he received the prestigious Henryk Szeryng Foundation Career Award. Vadim Gluzman plays the extraordinary 1690 "ex-Leopold Auer" Stradivari, on extended loan to him through the generosity of the Stradivari Society of Chicago.

20:00 The Queen Classic Show
Queen ClassicThe Queen Classic at Crocus City Hall is a tribute show to the legendary British rock band Queen. Queen's songs will be interpreted by the Montreal-born, opera-trained singer Johnny Zatylny. Look-a-like, sound-a-like he has been captivating audiences by carrying on the musical tradition of Freddie Mercury since 2000. Johnny Zatylny began playing in rock bands right out of high school and later moved to L.A. where he played in various cover bands. His amazing likeness with the original, matches his perfect performance of Queen songs both through his voice and his unmistakable stage presence. First sight of Johnny Zatylny made you think twice that Freddie Mercury had indeed come back to grace us once more. But Zatylny has no intention of toning down his impersonation of Mercury's unique showmanship. "You can never get as flamboyant as Freddie was," he says. "I don't try to be Freddie. But I try to give the people a little "bit of what Freddie was all about. I do my thing and try to bring his spirit out." Bringing out Johnny Zatylny's spirit requires at least six costume changes throughout the show, allowing audiences to get a glimpse of Zatylny in various Freddie guises. There's the gay iconic leather-biker-with-kneepads look, the black-spider-web-on-red-spandex look and a replica of the classic red-and-white pants/jacket Mercury wore in the 1980s. By all accounts, Zatylnly offers an authentic Freddie Mercury. His list of admirers reportedly includes Queen drummer Roger Taylor and Peter Freestone, Mercury's longtime personal assistant. The accompaniment by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the "Crocus City Hall" Grand Symphony Orchestra conducted by Felix Aranovskiy that is its academic arrangements, will present the music everyone knows in a new light. The Queen Classic is the one of the best tribute acts of all time, fabulous, exciting, high energy show that gets people out of their seats. Queen Classic is a grand, theatrical representation of the real Queen concerts, complete with vocal quality unmatched by any other tribute out there. It captures the essence of a band that transformed the music industry and set lofty standards for those who followed. Queen Classic sets the stage for a flash back to one of the world's finest group of rock musicians. The Queen Classic show might also bring along its full pyrotechnic display, which will be set off during perfomances of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and other explosive numbers. The evening usually climax with Zatylny sporting a cape and crown and singing Queen's rousing "The Show Must Go On". With a full array of costume changes and a complete set of Queen classics, the show tooks the crowd by storm from the very start and never let go. The Danish opera singer Sandra Danyella and the Austrian violinist and singer Barbara Helfgott will also be the participations of the show. The musical program includes such Queen's hits as Under Pressure, Barcelona, Don't Stop Me Now, Radio Ga Ga, Show Must Go On, The Great Pretender, It's A Kind Of Magic, Innuendo, Who Wants To Live Forever, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hammer To Fall, I Want It All, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and others.

19:00 VivaCello Festival 2014: Closing Ceremony
The International Cello Festival "VivaCello" is going to become one of the most important cultural events of the year 2014. VivaCello will keep the tradition of holding international music events that has existed for several years already. Democratic in terms of the concert format, but sophisticated in terms of the musical performance, this festival is to be of great interest for a wide range of audience. The festival is traditionally organized by the Cultural and Charitable Foundation U-Art: You and Art, and UNIDENT Group. Previous festivals have proved that VivaCello is of great interest for the Moscow audience. From year to year these concerts are attended by an increasing number of spectators. The Art-Director of the festival, cellist Boris Andrianov manages to create an original and invariably surprising program without going beyond the seemingly narrow frameworks of the festival. This year the autumn cello festival the Moscow audience has already seen several times is ready to surprise again. The list of the celebrities includes Johannes Moser (cello, Germany-Canada) which was hailed by Gramophone Magazine as "one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists," Claudio Bohorquez (cello, Spain), one of the most exciting and fascinating musicians of his generation whose interpretation of Lalo Cello concert a Washington Post critic called "the most beautiful I have ever heard," and Boris Andrianov (cello). The cellists will perform C.P.E. Bach, Lalo, Vivaldi, Schnittke with Russian Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Jurowski.
