Brilliant three octave mezzo-soprano, perfect English and a fifteen year musical career made even the most sceptical critics appreciate Alexandra Sherling's prodigious talent. In 1997, aged 6 Alexandra made the greatest stir in Hollywood winning the golden medal at the World Championships of Performing Arts (Los-Angeles). Soon after she crossed the Atlantic and dazzled the jury of the International Musical Festival "Bravo, Bravissimo!" in Cremona winning the first prize. Since the age of seven, Alexandra has been performing at the most renowned venues in New York, Moscow, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Nice. She performed duets with Isabella Yurieva, Josif Kobzon, Liza Minnelli to name a few. In 2003, Sherling received the Moscow "Triumph" award. It is obvious now that a child prodigy turned into an extraordinary talented jazz singer impressing the audience with a powerful vocal, star-like look and identifiable amazing manner of singing. Tonight Alexandra Shering presents her solo album "Dream" (2009) recorded together with the pianist Valery Grokhovsky. The concert features Alexandra's joint performance with Valery Grokhovsky quartet and ensemble of soloists "Hermitage" conducted by Alexey Utkin. Production designer – Boris Krasnov. Costumer designer – Rustam Khamdamov. MMDM Theater Hall |
