Angelin Preljocaj’s latest creation unites Subodh Gupta the famous Indian artist, Laurent Garnier, a major name in the world of techno music and Igor Chapurin, a rising star of Russian fashion. Being a dancer and percussionist of the Australian company "Flamenco Fire", one of the best one in Australia, Sebastian Sanchez nevertheless keeps on pursuing his solo career. Spanish background and southern origin are obviously traced in his expressive and bright dancing. Sebastian Sanchez is a former student of Simone Pope’s who has been developing his flamenco dance skills for the last 10 years. As a teacher Sebastian has an international practice giving master-classes on different styles and trends of flamenco as we as teaching its emotional and artistic components. Today Sebastian Sanchez lives and works in Sevilla (Spain) mastering his skills with the best dancers including Rafael Campallo, Angel Munoz, Andres Pena, Ana Maria Lopez and, of course, Manuel Betanzos – one of the gurus of flamenco of the world as well as the owner of the oldest and most respected flamenco academy in Sevilla. Sebastian has also taught for Simone Pope’s academy, whilst regularly performing with Brisbane based dance ensemble Jaleos Flamenco. |
