Clap Rules is the new pseudonym of Fabrizio Mammarella, Andrea Gabriele and Max Leggieri: well respected producers-DJ-musicians-sound designers making experiments with dance music. After the debut EP “Old Sequencer” on the English label Tiny Sticks (record of the year for Disco Delicious and record of the month for Piccadilly), after the “Buio Omega” release out on Dissident Distribution and now out on DFA remixing “In the dark of night” by Michoacan, Clap Rules are already a landmark over the electronic-dance panorama. |

23:00 | Dimitri from Paris (France) |
Dimitri from Paris has the touch, and everybody wants to feel it. Testimony can be found in the 200,000 copies of his debut 'Sacrebleu' and the millions of 2001's A Night at the Playboy Mansion that found their way out into the world. Compared to his cohorts in the new wave of French dance music, Dimitri from Paris looks much farther afield for his influences. Monsieur Dimitri's inspiration comes from the Continental jet-setting faux-jazz of the 1950s and early '60s (exemplified by Dick Hyman, John Barry and Martin Denny), though the whole is updated by his long years of experience as a house DJ. Flux Pavilion is Joshua Steele, a dubstep artist based in North London сurrently releasing on Circus Records. He is a drummer in local Indie/Rock band Real Rabitzkin and is also known as Eff Pea, Bubbles and Josh Extravaganza. He referred to his dubstep releases as "The Darker Side Of Flux Pavilion" on MySpace and has a separate pages for his drum & bass and dubstep productions. Flux Pavilion’s tracks are full of belligerent, subversive wit and direct physical stimulation, as well as a knowledge that dub is as much about drop-outs and surprises as it is about space and echo. Discoteque welcomes Pete Tong – a 50-year-old DJ with a several-decade career; a host of his own programme on BBC (unshakable standard for light house lovers); a founder of his own FFRR label that released records by Run-DMC, Salt’n’Pepa and Orbital; a resident of Pacha club (Ibiza) and ex-producer of girls band All Saints. Pete hardly releases anything but a man of such a status doesn’t need it – achieved fame will last for a long time. |
