Vazgen Vartanyan (piano) Chopin's four ballades and four scherzos. Only few celebrated pianists succeeded to perform four Scherzos by Chopin titled as “8” - they are believed to be the most difficult pieces in many ways. With an enormous piano repertoire under his belt including key piano works of all periods Vazgen has performed various programs in USA, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland as well as in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and other countries. Vazgen Vartanian’s play has been estimated by most authorities as a phenomenal. His interpretations are always unpredictable, often innovative but at the same time are harmonious, natural and convincing. Author’s message, richness of content, incredible power and outrageous technical capabilities prevail in his treatments as well as inimitable, astonishingly beautiful, multicolored sound. Vartanian can be called one of the most versatile performers in piano history. Moscow Conservatory Great Hall |
