16:00 Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard (USA)
Jeffrey Lewis was raised in New York City and is a maker of comic books, tragic-comic folk narratives, and head-smashing garage rock - all of which meld together into the band currently known as Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard. With brother Jack on bass and David Beauchamp on drums, Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard incorporate a disparate blend of influences from 1960s acoustic psychedelia like Pearls Before Swine to the experimental art-punk of the Fall and the urban lyricism of Lou Reed, sounding a bit like if Woody Guthrie fronted Sonic Youth. Live shows also incorporate "low budget videos", Jeff’s large illustrations displayed to accompany certain songs, such as Jeff's educational multi-part History of Communism, or the fan-favorite chills of "The Creeping Brain".

19:00 The Toasters (USA)
One of the most important American ska bands, the Toasters did much to popularize the genre on the underground scene in the mid- to late 1980s, laying the groundwork for later third-wave bands like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and ska's subsequent explosion in popularity in the mid- to late '90s. British expatriate Rob "Bucket" Hingley formed the Toasters in New York City in 1982 after discovering that the 2-tone ska he loved had made virtually no inroads into the American music scene.
