The 8th season is opened by the world premiere of the full-length animation musical film by Garry Bardin "Ugly Duckling" created with the use of different techniques - puppets, plasticine, dolls (altogether about 400 dolls) - accompanied by Tchaikovsky's ballets "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker" arranged by Sergey Anashkin and performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia conducted by Vladimir Spivakov.
