Quebec Transit
21:00. Montreal-based, multiple-winner of many international prizes, Etienne Desrosiers presents "Quebec Transit" – a special collection of the works by the tyro directors from Quebec consisting of 12 short films, animation and video-art. Sundance sensation by Felix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphael "Tungijuq" illustrates how Canadian indigenous people fight for their traditions. Pedro Pires who co-authored with the famous Robert Lepage, portrays a refined and spooky allegory in his "Dance Macabre". The National Cinema Council of Canada presents two animation films – a lyrical story about hockey "Ha’Aki" and a colourful collage of the contemporary images "Drux Flux". Quebec Best Short Film winners "Three Mothers", and "Fear of Snakes" tell fascinating stories. "Life Begins" – a teenage drama awarded with the Best Short Film prize at Montreal Festival of New Cinema – teaches how to build relations with relatives.
