23:55 SCSI-9
Sixteen Tons club presents special guests - "Russia's greatest minimalheadz" SCSI-9. SCSI-9 are Anton Kubikov, which still remains one of the most booked popular Russian DJs, well known by clubbers for his fine taste and respected by his DJ-friends for the original playing technique, and Maxim Milyutenko, who became a part of a small team starting up the first Russian dance pop radio station called "Dynamite FM" in 2000 and still continues working there as a sound producer and an audio engineer. They produce underground dance music, downtempo and minimal tracks and remixes. In 2002, they recorded their first soundtrack for a theater staging at one of Moscow's drama theatres. In autumn 2002 they played their first live show in Moscow. On November 9th, 2002, SCSI-9 played their first live at the famous Fabric club in London, UK. Since then SCSI-9 have played numerous live gigs in European clubs in London, Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, Warsaw, Ljubljana, Madrid, Thessaloniki and on festivals, such as Transmediale (Berlin), Pulse (Moscow), Wilsonic (Bratislava), Dialog of 4 Cultures (Lodz/Poland), in Subotica (Serbia), Athens and on Monegros in Spain, together with Richie Hawtin, Magda and Troy Pierce, Gui Burrato and Matias Aguayo. In April 2003 the well known German label "Force Tracks" released their first full size album "Digital Russian" on double LP and CD, and in June the German label "Kompakt" released a SCSI-9 EP and included it on their famous "Total Five" compilation. In 2007, they also took part in the Global Gathering (Kiev) and RADAR Live (Istanbul) festivals. SCSI-9 perform in Sixteen Tons two times in the year. For upcoming concert SCSI-9 will prepare a special spring program and many surprises. The concert will be opened by live-project of Sapunov and Korablev titled Normality Restored. More info
