| Sorry, 'serosis' as a diagnosis does not exist as far as we know. If you mean 'cirrhosis', this is a degenerative disease of the liver usually caused by alcohol which, if sufficiently advanced and severe, can cause death due to liver failure. A diagnosis of early cirrhosis requires the patient to stop drinking any alcohol.
