Question:
My daughter, husband and son have all 'picked' up the diahrhea and it seems to be lasting more than 2 days. Is there a bug going around? and how long before I need to be overly concerned?
KM
Answer:
This is not particularly something going around - but it happens episodically usually linked to contaminated food or water. No need to be overly concerned if it limits itself to 24-48 hours, there is no high fever and / or blood or mucus in the stools, and the children are not dehydrated... adults tend to be able to replace fluid faster than they lose it, whereas children may have more difficulty in keeping up.
