Question:
Hi, We are planning to relocate to Moscow in the near future and will be looking for a place to stay. Ideally, a house not too far away from the world trade center, close to an international kindergarden and not too pricey. Also, I have noticed that most of the places for rent in Moscow are furnished, is this always the case?
Mazen
Answer:
Dear Mazen,

Thank you very much for your question to IntermarkSavills!

In answer to it, you are right, most of the places in Moscow are fully furnished but this isn’t a case. There are the properties which are empty and the Landlords rent them out without any furniture. Of course the furnishing is a matter of a negotiation. Sometimes when the apartment is fully furnished the Landlords agree to remove all the furniture. If you need an empty apartment we will be delighted to assist you and find you a suitable apartment.

So to start your home finding process, I would advice you to specify your housing requirements more precisely. The following information will help brokers respond better to your enquiry:

- number of bedrooms required
- preferred location of your new property
- distance from the metro (walking distance/ transport distance/ not important)
- whether you require a furnished/partly furnished/fully furnished property
- your budget range
- your desired length of lease (less than 12 months/12 months/over 12 months)
- your earliest availability and preferred times to tour properties (daytime or evenings, weekdays or weekends, dates)
- desired move-in date
- whether you require car parking; security (concierge, guard etc.)
- are you relocating with your family (wife/partner and/or children) or will you be living alone
- will you require a short-term serviced apartment while searching for your new home
- whether it will be you or your company paying our home-finding fee and/or the rent
- any other considerations/requirements

Do let me know if you require any further information at this stage or whether I may be of any further assistance at any time during your home-finding assignment.
