Question:
I am currently living and working in Moscow. I have a couple of friends who want to visit me from England in about two weeks time. They are coming across all kinds of obstacles trying to obtain visas. What is the cheapest and quickest way they can do this?
Ian
Answer:
Dear Ian,
The cheapest and quickest way for your friend to come to Russia is to get a tourist visa invitation and to apply for tourist visa in Russian Consulate (in London, for example).
Tourist visa allow one to stay in Russia for the period up to 30 days, the price for such invitation in ATH is $50 + VAT. The consular fee for the tourist visa in London varies from GBP30 for 6 day processing and up to GBP120 for express service.
The only thing it is better to pay attention for is the registration procedure. If they are going to stay at the hotel, they will receive the registration during check-in. If they will stay at the appartment, please note that the registration procedure will not be free for them.
Please call as and we will be happy to assist you with this request.
Best regards.
