PLUMS Fest means a platform, community and a festival of fun and discoveries in the field of audiovisual, interdisciplinary and multimedia arts.We are exploring and bringing to the broad public different kinds of new art experiments which are appearing in the field of intersection between technologies, art, curiousity and music.

Created in 2008, PLUMS Fest is now happening for the 7th time, as a traditional part of the official program of the international event “Night In The Museums” in Moscow. This event attracts more visitors every year while simultaneously introducing cutting-edge artists and projects during a single night. Multimedia concerts and performances, demonstrations of experimental animation and video art work, visualizing large data, music, lectures, projects exploring the possibility and ways of interaction between academism and technology, computer code and classics - will be held during only one day and one evening in the format of pop-up. The festival will host artists from Korea, Russia, Poland and Switzerland.

The program consists of live performances and shows where you need to buy tickets, and exhibitions and an educational program where admission is free.

PLUMS Fest Headliners:

Tacit Group, multimadia project from Korea, will present program of 7 works, interactive audiovisual mini-performances in which computer games, code and music interact on an equal footing. For example, an interpretation of the play by American minimalist Steve Reich 6 pianos will be heard, translated into a Pacman game.

Pink Freud, the most progressive, according to the version of music critics, and the famous jazz band from Poland, will perform the works of the legend of electronics Autechre (album "Pink Freud Plays Autechre") in the framework of the evening program of the festival. The jazz-electronic version of "Autechre" will accompany the video of one of the most famous Russian VJs - VJ Eps.

Francois Moncarey from Switzerland will present his new audiovisual project "Exosphere" using 3D scanning of the environment. Especially for the festival, the artist will scan several buildings in Moscow, the resulting information will be translated into a graphic that will be integrated into the live performance.

Russian participants - "Gallery of Actual Music" ensemble, the Center for Electroacoustic Music of the Moscow Conservatory, composers Nikolai Popov and Oleg Paiberdin, as well as media artists Jan Kalnberzin, Andrew Quinn and others will show a new project "In the access zone" - a multimedia journey from the early 20th century to modernity with the help of new media technologies.

Project 404.zero (Alexander Letzius and Kristina Karpysheva) will present the audiovisual performance Gig For Sleepers, which involves self-made and modular synthesizers and hypnotic generative video graphics.

Also will perform: Yury Yaremchuk (saxophones, bass clarinet) and Alexei Nadzharov (live electronics, live video) - project at the intersection of new improvised electronics, free jazz and electro-acoustic music; Serge Stepanishev (k.f.n.) and VJKet will perform with audiovisual lecture-performance, STAIN (Sasha Gavrilova, Sergei Titov) - with real-time audiovisual performance "Discretization".

In the framework of the educational program, in addition to the lectures of the participants of the festival, the Express Congress will be held - a hybrid between "pecha kucha" pitching session and networking with opinion makers from media art and design. Tickets
