19:00 Boris Berezovsky and Alexander Ghindin (Russia)
Piano duo will perform works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Bartók, Gershwin and Bernstein. 85 min (with one interval). When two acclaimed musicians who pursue brilliant solo careers meet at one stage is always a pleasure for the audience. Besides, it’s the new concert story. “The best music is written for ensembles”, Boris Berezovsky is sure. “Onstage communication is a pure delight!” “First of all”, Ghindin adds, “Duo repertoire is vast, if somewhat overlooked”. Today, young musician take part in the concert. Varvara Kutuzova isn’t 17 yet, but she started her music career in the early age of 6, playing with a chamber orchestra. Her first solo recital in Moscow was when she was 8 y.o. After her winning of Denis Matsuev’s Astana Piano Passion (2013) her concerts were organized in France, Slovenia, China, and other countries . The name Konstantin Emelyanov is going around. In 2019, he won the III prize at the Tachikovsky Competition. “Music is an unbelievable thing”, the pianist believes. “Once you’ve tasted it, you’ll never ever gonna enjoy anu day-to-day job”. Kutuzova and Emelyanov meet on stage to play Mozart’s Double Concerto.

19:00 Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra
The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jean-Christophe Spinosi will perform works by Ravel, Berlioz, Offenbach, Brahms etc. The Orchestra was founded as part of the Culture national project, which was launched in 2018 with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The ensemble consists of 100 young performers aged from 22 to 28 and hailing from 20 regions of Russia. The first line up of the orchestra was formed following the All-Russian Young Orchestra Musicians Competition, which was organised by the Moscow State Philharmonic. More than 360 young musicians took part in the competition (2018). Unlike most youth ensembles, Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra operates all year round as a concert ensemble and an educational platform. Musicians perform with and study under such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vasily Petrenko, Michail Jurowski, Alexander Lazarev, Alexander Sladkovsky, and Jean-Christophe Spinosi, as well as concertmasters of various Russian and European orchestras, experts in ensemble performance, orchestral peculiarities, and historic performance genres. In 2018–2019 season, the orchestra has collaborated with the concertmasters of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
