19:00 Scorpions (Germany)
The most beloved and popular rock band in Russia is coming back to us with its Crazy World Tour! “When our album ‘Crazy World’ was released right at the end of the Cold War, we toured around a world that was pretty crazy back then, but there was so much hope in the air for a more peaceful future,” said Scorpions vocalist Klaus Meine. “Now things are getting more crazy every other day”. Even if things are getting more crazy and unpredictable every other day, the love of Russian fans for Scorpions has been unchanged for many decades. No wonder, because Scorpions became one of the first Western rock bands to “break through” the iron curtain in 1988 and 1989. Their main hit Wind of Change telling the story of a walk through perestroika Moscow, which topped the charts of 11 countries in 1991, became the golden rock classics. And concerts in our country have consistently attracted tens of thousands of fans for 30 years. “…the main surprise of every concert is the audience itself”, says guitarist Rudolf Schenker. “The day before I was interviewed, and the journalist asked what it would be like for our international band to return to Russia again. And someone said: “No, it’s a Russian band,” and that’s the best compliment we could ever get in your country. Being able to consider yourself a Russian band is fantastic”.
