 Best known for their collaborations on screen, director Emir Kusturica and musician Goran Bregovic will join together for music reasons in Moscow. The duo are known for their work together in films such as "Time of the Gypsies," directed by Kusturica with a soundtrack by Bregovic, but will instead headline a concert together in the Russian capital. Dissociated from any show business church or dogma, Emir Kusturica and The No Smoking Orchestra are a significant phenomenon of the anti-globalist movement and a unique paradox of the environment they have sprung from. They are more famous and more recognized on the international scene than in their country whose repute they have been successfully boosting. Goran Bregovich is one of the most internationally known modern musicians and composers of the Slavic-speaking countries in the Balkans, and is one of the few former Yugoslav musicians who has performed at major international venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and L'Olympia.
