Drama, biography. USA 2018, 120 min. Directed by Felix van Groeningen. Starring: Steve Carell, Timothée Chalamet, Maura Tierney, Christian Convery. In English with Russian subtitles. At age 18, Nic was a top student and the editor of the school paper, acted in school plays, and played on the water polo team. He spent days voraciously reading and drawing, and planned on going to college in the fall. But at the moment when he was meant to finish school, an addiction that started as teenage fun turned into a serious threat to his future. “Beautiful Boy” tells about the Sheff family’s fight with their son’s destructive addiction and the saving quality of parental love. The father in the film was played by famous American actor Steve Carell (“Bruce Almighty,” “Foxcatcher,” “The Big Short”), and his son, Nic Sheff, by one of the brightest young stars, Timothée Chalamet (“Call Me By Your Name”), who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work on “Beautiful Boy.”

Sometimes referred to as "Brisbane's Banksy" and described as a “pop-surrealist”, Anthony Lister is known for his ironic and monumental works mixing “high” genres with “low” comics, subcultural art, and street aesthetics. Since he was young, Lister has been recording events of his family’s life and himself at work on video. Based on the artist’s video archive, Eddie Martin tells the story of Lister’s creative rise and personal fall: his first artistic success, his move to New York, his love for his wife and the birth of their kids, and eventually his family and personal crisis brought on by his passion for his work and fame and the pressures of the art market.

Talented law student Antonio is a trainee working for the rich and famous lawyer, Dr. Toti, who defends politicians and Mafiosi. For his measly 300 euros a month, he does everything: carries the bosses things, puts documents together for him, drives him around, and even cooks him homemade lunches. Unexpectedly, he gets an incredible offer: to become his boss’ bona fide partner. There’s just one condition: he has to marry Toti’s lover, whom Antonio has never even met. Having thought long and hard about his future, the young man gets sucked into a whirlpool of unbelievable, even grotesque events, which help him understand that we are all equal before the law, but some are just more equal than others.
