19:55. Documentary. UK 2018, 78 min. Directed by Lorna Tucker. In English with Russian subtitles. Vivienne Westwood is a legend of London style, both as a creator and a destroyer. A fashion designer by trade, she had aims of becoming a cultural phenomenon even at the very beginning of her career. However, her fame, which came into being around the same time as British punk, didn’t fade away like the music scene connected with it, but continues to grow. Today, Westwood is a grand dame and a knight of the Order of the British Empire, yet a rebel and activist as well, living and working in London as she always has alongside both the Crown Jewels and punk pins. This film by Lorna Tucker analyzing Westwood’s phenomenal life was first shown at Sundance. Now it is part of the Pioner film company’s collection and the “Pioneers of Fashion” festival.
