Dear Comrades! (Dorogie tovarischi!)
12:35, 16:55. Drama, History. Russia 2020, 121 min. Directed by Andrey Konchalovskiy. Starring: Yulia Vystoskaya, Sergey Erlish, Yulia Burova, Andrey Gusev, Vladislav Komarov. In Russian with English subtitles. The main character of the film is Lyudmila, a high-ranking employee of the Novocherkassk City Committee in 1962. The country has decided to raise prices on basic produce and home goods, and the city is exploding with discontent and rebellion. The heroine and her family are caught up in the whirlwind of the uprising and face something that she never wanted to experience. The premiere of Andrey Konchalovsky's new film was held at the Venice Film Festival, where the film was awarded the Special Jury Prize. However, "Dear Comrades!" should be interesting to Russian audiences first and foremost, as it tells about the painful and rarely covered topic of the Soviet past.

'Lux Æterna' is also an essay on cinema, the love of film, and on-set hysterics.

This is the story of an orphan boy who, in late 1967, moves to with his loving grandmother live in the rural town of Demopolis in Alabama. There they meet a beautiful witch. This new acquaintance comes right in time, as the witches are preparing a grand conspiracy. A new film adaptation of the classic book by Roald Dahl, this time from Robert Zemeckis.

Composer Nico Muhly unveils his second new creation for the Metropolitan Opera with this gripping reimagining of Winston Graham’s novel, set in 1959, about a beautiful, mysterious young woman who assumes multiple identities. Director Michael Mayer and his creative team have devised a fast-moving, cinematic world for this exhilarating story of denial and deceit, which also inspired a film by Alfred Hitchcock. Mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard sings the enigmatic Marnie, and baritone Christopher Maltman is the man who pursues her—with disastrous results. Robert Spano conducts. Watch online here.
