Winners of the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition, Konstantin Emelyanov and Alexey Melnikov will perform works by Frédéric Chopin. Alexey Melnikov is the prize-winner at the International Competition in the memory of Vera Lotar-Shevchenko in Novosibirsk (1st Prize), the International Piano Competition in Cantu (1st Prize, Italy), the International Piano Competition in San-Marino (1st Prize, the Audience Choice Prize, the Critics Choice and the Orchestra Choice Prizes, 2014) and the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (3rd Prize, 2015, Japan). He has taken part in the International Cervo Chamber Music Festival (Italy), the Animato Festival in Paris, the International Piano Music Festival in Trieste, the Heinrich Neuhaus Romantic Music Festival in Moscow. Konstantin Emelyanov is the prize-winner at the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Kiev (2012), the Verona International Piano Competition (2017) and the Gian Battista Viotti International Music Competition in Vercelli (1st prize and Audience Award, 2017). In 2018 he won 1st prize at the All-Russian Music Competition and in 2019 he took 3rd prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition. The same year, he was also awarded the title “Artist of Radio Russia” and became a Yamaha company artist. Has given concerts as part of the festivals Great Sonatas of the 20th Century in Genoa and Stars on Baikal among numerous others. In 2019 he took part in projects run by the Bösendorfer Loft Philharmonic concert venue in Moscow. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall |
