Ballet production. 145 mins (with two intervals). Choreography ("Concerto Barocco"): George Balanchine. Choreography ("Wings of Wax"): Jiří Kylián. Choreography ("Pajama Party"): Andrey Kaydanovskiy. Music Director and Conductor: Anton Grishanin. The first performance of the evening George Balanchine’s "Concerto Barocco" is an absolute fusion of music and dance. "Concerto Barocco" expresses the author's creative credo the most: "to see the music, to hear the dance". The second ballet - Jiří Kylián’s "Wings of Wax" - returns to the theatre with an updated cast of dancers who will bring their individualities into the performance. Being remarkably different from Balanchine in choreographic language, Kylian resembles him in his unique ability to synthesize movement and music. These are two absolute geniuses of dance. The third ballet of the program is the world premiere. Andrey Kaydanovskiy has his own unique style, which makes him one of the most talented Russian choreographers. He took part in the "Intersection Point" laboratory in the theatre in 2016 and for it is very valuable that the choreographer, who has become a discovery of this project, stages his new ballet for the company on the Main Stage.
