Vladimir Mayakovsky is one of the most unusual, impressive, provocative Soviet poets. During Soviet period Mayakovsky was turned into an icon, a hero, a propagandist of the Revolution, now he is also regarded as a victim, a person who sacrificed his life and talent to the Great Idea, but later lost his illusions and committed a suicide.

There is Mayakovsky Museum in Moscow.
