Uspenskaya Zvonnitsa (part of Kremlin), or Assumption Belfry was added to the Ivan the Great’s Bell Tower in 1552. The design also belongs to the Italian, Petrok Maly. First supposed to be a church, this building was made a belfry in the end of XVII century. Today it carries the Big Uspenskiy Bell, the greatest functioning bell of the Kremlin. The extension added to the belfry opposite the bell tower is called the Filaret’s annex.
