Mostovaya Bashnya, or the Bridge Tower was erected in 1670s as a part of the old bridge across the Silver (Serebryany) pond in Izmailovo estate; the red colour and some ornamental details resemble the style of Moscow Kremlin. Two lower levels of the tower served as a guardhouse, and the last level was a belfry of the Cathedral of the Intercession. Now the Bridge Tower houses the main exposition of the museum; the unique exhibits (documents, portraits, engravings, costumes, weapons, uniform, etc.) give the visitors an opportunity plunge into Russian history, to feel the royal spirit of ancient Izmailovo.
