A part of Gloria health complex (24th km of Kievskoye sh.). A free beach around the pond is available until 21:00. You may hire a boat (200rbls for 30 minutes) or a catamaran (500rbls for 20 minutes). Gloria restaurant (Tel: 436-2526) offers delicious dishes, for example, sturgeon grill (70rbls). VIP area is a pontoon-beach with a bar, chaise lounges and beach umbrellas around a swimming pool. VIP area is available for 300rbls.

This beach is a bit of a hike from the city, but is well worth the trip. Located on the Klyazminskoye Reservoir, this beach is exceptionally clean and beautiful. Pack a picnic lunch and head out for the entire day. To get there, go to Rechnoy Voksal m.st. and take a boat up the Moscow Canal. Boats leave every hour on the hour starting at noon, though you might want to call ahead and ask for an up-to-date schedule.

Located on the Ivankovskoye sh. near Sokol m.st. This is a very popular beach, where you can rent jet skis, wind-surfing boards, and other sporting equipment. Khimki has a cafe, restaurant, children’s and sports areas. There is a yacht club nearby and mooring for small boats.

Get out at Metro Vykhino, then take the 602, 722 or 744 bus to the "Poliklinika" stop. Tel: 700-0183. This beach is very popular and therefore very crowded. The lake has clean water due to a spring inflow. There are numerous cafes, a volleyball court, a football field, and boat rental. There's a fishing center where you can also rent a boat.

At Metro Vykhino take bus 393. Although it is considered to be a Moscow beach, Lytkarino is 15 km outside the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD). The beach is famous for its white sand, clear water and pine forest.

There are few people here and water is very clean. As long as you may see, picturesque fields stretch. It’s nice to lie on the grass looking to the sky. The canal is full of fish. 27th km of Dmitrovsky sh., by car: to the turn to Yaroslavskoye hwy that crosses the canal Moskva-Volga.

An old lake on the territory of Lermontov’s Serednikovo estate. Water is very clean, so it’s the best place for a swimming. The lake is near a forest where romantic paths lead you to raspberry bushes, sally-bloom and tasty spring water. You may get there by car and by suburban electric train. By car drive to the station Firsovka, after a crossing move through the river Goretovka, then turn right. Your destination is a 34th km of Leningradskoye sh. If you go by suburban electric train, go to the station Firsovka (from Leningradsky railway station), then by bus 40.

Senezh Lake is one of the cleanest and quietest place in Moscow area – you are forbidden to use motorboats on its territory. On the beach there’s everything needed: from an ice-cream to boat hiring, and even kite-serf-club “Senezh” (www.ozero-senej.ru). Here you may have a lesson of kitting (500rbls for an hour). Fishers are welcomed to hire outfit and catch a pike or just buy it from some lucky for 70rbls/kl. To attend this beautiful place, go to Podsolnechnaya train station (from Leningradsky railway station), then by bus 25or 30; or drive to Solnechnogorsk, then turn to Timyanonvo at the police post – your destination is a 65th km of Leningradskoye sh.

Take the Metro to Polezhaevskaya, then trolley bus 20 or 21. Tel: 947-9881. This beach is the cleanest in the city and is located in an area where many diplomatic missions have their dachas. There are many cafes and shops around the beach and two volleyball courts. The beach also has an area set aside for nude sunbathing and swimming, and it's rumored that they are happy to see new faces - but au natural.

Go to Metro Schukinskaya, then take 231, 238, 687 or 277 bus. Very clean and beautiful sand beach with many trees and bushes nearby. Cars are not permitted near the beach, so the air is cleaner than at any other Moscow beach. The place is quiet and divided into three separate beaches: regular, nudist, and gay.

This is a very popular pool among young people. If you are at all interested in bathing suit fashion, this is the place to go. The place also offers a mini-golf court, 5 tennis courts, beauty salon and a restaurant.

Olympic Water Sports Center is one of the largest water sport complexes in Moscow. It consists of several sport buildings. All the swimming pools are situated near each other. The Olympiysky Sport Complex is almost always crowded; but you can still have an enjoyable swim there. There are two 50-meter and one 25-meter pools with a water temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. The first pool is called "Demonstration". It is 50-meter long, 220cm deep with 10 tracks. This pool is for subscription groups, aquaaerobics hours and sport school's lessons. The second pool is called "Practice". It's 50-meter long, 220cm deep with 10 tracks. This pool is for subscription and once-only groups. And the third pool is called "Jump". It is 25-meter, 600cm deep. This pool is for subscription and once-only groups and for synchronised swimming groups. Open daily 07:00 - 22:45. Admission: 180-240 rbls on weekdays.
