The Baseballs band, who has conquered all European musical markets, was founded in 2007 by three German boys. Basti, Sam and Digger once gathered in a Berlin studio to record cover versions for 60s killer hits. During that working process the band has found out that converting modern pop music into rock&roll compositions is much more interesting!
And that's how this recognizable style of sound was found and made the band incredibly popular. Their debut album took leading positions in world radio charts, it went gold and triple platinum. The full-length album Strike! (2009) followed shortly thereafter and was likewise a hit throughout the German-speaking world, reaching the Top Five in Switzerland, the Top Ten in Germany, and the Top 20 in Austria. The album features cover versions of contemporary hits such as Usher's "Love in This Club," Plain White T's' "Hey There Delilah," and Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." The Baseballs returned in 2011 with their sophomore release Strings 'n' Stripes. Once again, the album featured reworkings of contemporary pop hits including Katy Perry's "California Gurls," Will Smith's "Miami," and 50 Cent's "Candy Shop.". They were awarded as the most successful young band in Europe 2011. Second band's album Strings'n'Stripes was also met with enthusiasm.
The Baseballs celebrated their European successes with extensive European tours and at international festivals. In 2011 this climaxed in their winning the European Border Breakers Award and the German Echo Award for The Most Successful Act Abroad. Following the release of the DVD Strings'n'Stripes Live (2012) and Good Ol' Christmas (2012), Sam, Digger and Basti spent 2013 concentrating on their fourth studio album. Parallel to songwriting and studio productions they couldn't live without doing concerts, of course.
In 2014 The Baseballs proudly presented Game Day! With hearts still beating to the rhythm of rock'n'roll. The Baseballs expertly combine the best of contemporary sounds with the ingredients of the fifties and sixties. But in contrast to the previous albums, this time the focus is on their own compositions in addition to selected cover songs.
... and in September 2016 their new full format work came out - Hit Me Baby! The secret of their popularity - classy and bright sound in an original and easily recognisable manner. It is a mixture of good old rock 'n' roll, energy and rockabilly drive. If Elvis would sung Umbrella, he would do it this way!
