 The Bootleg Beatles' career began at a now long forgotten student's bash in Tiverton, Devon, UK on 26 March 1980, almost ten years to the day since Paul McCartney announced the originals had split. Over the years The Bootleg Beatles have performed in front of many, many thousands of people including such notable luminaries as Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, George Martin and Her Majesty The Queen. They have set the standard for musical homage and Beatle-like scenes of hysteria have greeted the their note-perfect performances across the globe. It is the stunning authenticity of the Bootlegs' concerts, coupled with their musical credibility, that has seen the Bootleg Beatles play venues such as Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury, the Royal Albert Hall & Knebworth, sharing the bill with the likes of Rod Stewart, Elton John, David Bowie, Bon Jovi, Simple Minds, Seal and Iggy Pop; and led to the invitation from Oasis to perform at their massive outdoor events. These performances, and an appearance on the cover of the NME, heralded the Bootleg Beatles' breakthrough to a new contemporary audience, something unheard of for a "tribute" act. The Bootleg Beatles bring the sounds and the atmosphere of the Beatles to life with as much authenticity as is humanly possible. In the fifty one years since The Beatles had their first # 1, their music has never been eclipsed, their image has never faded, and they continue to attract new fans with each coming generation. For over thirty of those years, The Bootleg Beatles have been performing these classic pop songs to audiences across the globe, winning over even the most hardened skeptics with their stunning recreation of The Beatles' sound and look. With a little help from their orchestral ensemble, they even manage to reproduce live on stage songs the Fab Four never actually performed themselves. Every tiny detail is meticulously covered with their inflection-perfect vocal mimicry, from costumes to authentic period instruments and the famous witty Scouse banter. The Bootleg Beatles is the world's most successful and longest running tribute band ever, they have been touring longer than The Beatles ever did themselves.
