Dmitry KorchakSince winning in 2004 prize at Francisco Vinas International Competition in Barcelona and two prizes at Placido Domingo's Operalia Competition in Los Angeles, Dmitry Korchak has continued to delight audiences worldwide in some of the most celebrated venues, playing some of the greatest leading operatic roles and collaborating with renowned conductors and orchestras. Dmitry Korchak was born in Russia. After graduating from the Alexander Sveshnikov Moscow Choral College, Dmitry entered the Moscow Chorus Academy, where he studied both as a conductor and as a singer. Dmitry has collaborated with such conductors as D. Barenboim, B. Campanella, R. Chailly, J. Cura, P. Domingo, L. Maazel, Z. Mehta and others. Among Dmitry's recent engagements at Carnegie Hall, Teatro dell Opera di Roma, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opera Bastille, Vienner Staatsoper, Covent Garden, De Nederlandse Oper, Berliner Staatsoper, Los Angeles Opera, Semperoper Dresden, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Bayrische Staatsoper, Theatre La Monnaie, Palau de les Artes in Valencia, Salzburg Festival, Pesaro Festival, Bad Kissingen Festival, Colmar Festival, Ravenna Festival, Reate Festival etc. His engagements include "I Puriatni" and "Cosi fan tutte" at Opera Bastille, "Don Giovanni" at Teatro Liceo (Barcelona), "Don Giovanni" and "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" at Metropoliatn Opera, "Evgeny Onegin" and "La Cenerentola" at Vienner Staatsoper, "Le Comte Ory" at Lyon Opera, concerts at Bad Kissingen Festival and ricital tours in Russia and Europe. On December 6th Dmitry Korchak who is known as "new Pavarotti" will perform arias from operas by Gounod, Bizet, Massenet and Donizetti. More info

19:00 Gerhard Reichenbach (Germany)
Gerhard Reichenbach is one of the leading European guitar virtuosos of his generation. His solo performances at the important international guitar festivals and at concert halls like the Berliner Philharmonie are highlights of classical guitar performance and his playing is compared with masters of the guitar like A. Segovia and John Williams. He was born on 7th of March 1965 in Langenfeld (Germany) and received his first guitar training from his father who is an amateur player as well as from Judith Schumacher at the Musikschule Langenfeld. Later he studied guitar at the Musikhochschule Koln/Wuppertal (Cologne School of Music) with Prof. Dieter Kreidler and also at the Athens Conservatory with Kostas Kotsiolis. Private studies with Odair Assad, member of the famous brasilian Assad Duo, influenced his playing as well as lessons with Manuel Barrueco, Alexandre Lagoya and Karl Scheit. His debut performance was a solo recital in Dusseldorf at the age of 15, whereas his international reputation started years later after winning the International Guitar Competition of San Juan/Puerto Rico in 1989. Since then until now Gerhard has been spending his time touring successfully in Europe, being invited for solo recitals to places like the Berliner Philharmonie, the Saal Bulgaria, Sofia, the Megaro Mousikis in Thessaloniki (Greece), the Philharmonies of Tallinn, Tartu and Parnu (Estland), the Gavle Konserthuset (Sweden), the Forum Gitarre Vienna, , and many more. He is an often invited guest at almost all the important guitar festivals in Europe, as there are: Iserlohner Gitarrensymposium, Nürtinger Gitarrenfestspiele, Internationales Koblenzer Pfingstseminar, Gitarrenfestival Frechen, Remscheider Gitarrentage, Darmstädter Gitarrentage, Aschaffenburger Gitarrentage, Guitar Festival Weikersheim (Germany) , Forum Gitarre Wien (Austria), guitar festivals of Pordenone, Siracusa and Parma (Italy), Gitarrenfestival in Gävle (Sweden), Dundee Guitar Festival (Schottland), Enschede Gitarrensymposium (Holland), Guitar Art Festival Belgrad (Serbia), Guitar Fest Banja Luka (Bosnia), etc. Gerhard Reichenbach has an active concert repertoire of more than 35 absolutely different solo recital programmes, some chamber music programmes (flute/guitar, violin/guitar, voice/guitar, string quartet/guitar) and 13 concertos with guitar and orchestra. A passionate advocate of the contemporary guitar repertoire, he performed premieres or first performances of composers like Hans Werner Henze, Leo Brouwer, Rossen Balkanski, Manfred Trojan, Ulrich Leyendecker, and many more. 20:30 Marek Stefanski (Poland): Music Gift to the Christmas
One the most active Polish organists, professor of the Music Academy in Cracow, Artistic Director of two organ music festivals ("Evening performances of organ an chamber music in Rzeszow cathedrale" and "Organ music in Jaroslaw Abbey"), laureate of international festivals of sacral and organ music Marek Stefanski presents a concert "Music Gift to the Christmas" supporting by the Polish Cultural Center in Moscow. The program includes compositions for organ by Bach, Liszt, Merkel and improvisations on Christmas and New Year theme. The concert will be accompanied by video performance and commented by the arts critic Natalia Borovskaya. Marek Stefanski made his concert debut at the very beginning of his studies during two tournees as the organist - solist with the Academic "Organum" Choir which gave numerous concerts in the European cities. The numerous prizes he won made him the doors to other festivals of organ music, as well as to the concert halls and churches open. Not only in the European countries, but also all over the world (for example USA, Israel, Russia among others). In 1996 Stefanski began his work as the organist at the church of St. Mary in Cracow, where until now he not only plays during the church celebrations, but also performs over a dozen recitals every year. In 1999 he accepted the post at the Music Academy in Cracow, where he teaches in the Faculty of Organ. Marek Stefanski is a great propagator of Polish organ music, especially 20th century music, which he performs together with the organ improvisation. He has already given concerts in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, Moldova, Israel, USA, Equador, Russia, Uzbekistan and Hungary.

Billy's BandThe Billy's Band is a famous Tom-Waits-influenced-romantic-alco-jazz-quartet from St Petersburg, Russia. Welcomed soundtrack creators, the authors of 8 top-notch albums and regular participants of various Russian and European music festivals. The Billy's Band have already conquered the heart of Russian, Italian, German, French, Finish, Israeli, Estonian and American public. Their music is a perfect English-Russian cocktail of jazz and blues, Slavonic Lieds, rock ballads and sporadic beats of an enigmatic Russian soul. Well, as they say, it is a "funeral dixieland with everlasting happy end". Two-days concerts in Sixteen Tons is a good Billy's Band's tradition not for summer but for winter too.
