20:00 | Riverside Drive by Woody Allen |

Riverside Drive is a cross-cultural unique theatre project in Russia, which pursues the aim to introduce original American drama to the Russian audience. This work created by a Russian director, producer, Russian artists and American actors constitutes a bold synthesis of cultural and stage traditions of different American and Russian theatre schools. This theatre project is much more than just a theatre project and the dialogue of cultures. Riverside Drive was first presented by Woody Allen as a theatrical production in 2003. It has been a success in New York and Los Angeles. The Moscow production is directed by Alexander Sozonov and casts audacious American actors Cazimir Liske, Odin Biron and Rebecca Whitehurst. The play is about a present-day person who doesn’t have tomorrow. Getting success and recognition, financial independence and all thinkable welfare, a megalopolis inhabitant starts to lead a dissipated life. But all of a sudden this welfare becomes unbearable. And the careless being can be changed by one thought or occasional meeting... The project is supported by the Embassy of the US in Moscow, Theatre Communication Group – New York Office and Moscow Art Theatre School. More info Meyerhold Center |
