Soloists: Jesus Fernandez Baena (theorbo), Pierre Pitzl (baroque guitar), Raquel Andueza (soprano). The concert will be supported by the Spain Embassy in Moscow. La Galania ensemble was founded by Raquel Andueza and Jesus Fernandez in 2010 and aims to perform 17th and 18th century Baroque music based on carefully researched historical principles. It also aims to collaborate with the most outstanding Spanish and foreign musicians who have specialised in this repertoire. Its members form part of world-famous orchestras and groups like L'Arpeggiata, Hesperion XXI, Al Ayre Espanol, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Private Musicke, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, etc. The soprano Raquel Andueza, who is regularly invited to perform at the world’s most important auditoriums and festivals, is the group's mainstay. The group has subsequently performed at several of the most prestigious venues in Spain and Europe, including the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Liceo Theatre in Salamanca, the Kulturcasino in Berne, the MAFestival in Bruges, the Almudaina Palace in Palm de Mallorca, the Aranjuez Festival, the San Sebastian Music Fortnight, etc. La Galania's first album Yo Soy la Locura was released in January 2011 to widespread critical acclaim under the "Anima e Corpo" label and sold very well. It was also unanimously granted the Festclasica Award by the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals.
