Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus is a masterpiece of classical ballet, created at the Bolshoy in the XIX century by the great choreographer Marius Petipa. It’s a classic example of the Moscow style, with its virtuosity, technical bravura, characteristic movement and prominent parts. A production of long and bountiful history that managed to outlive many others, Don Quixote perseveres today in a classical version with additional choreography by Alexey Fadeyechev. In the Bolshoy season 240, Don Quixote returns to the historical stage of the Bolshoy with new set and costume designs, based on sketches by the great stage designer Vladimir Levental Formula Kino Chertanovo |
