19:00 Art-November Arts Festival: Johannes Brahms Season

Continuing the tradition of Anton Rubinstein's famous "Historic Recitals," the International Art-November Arts Festival will present four major cycles to the Moscow audience in the 2012-2013 season including the highlight cycle of Johannes Brahms' music, whose 180th anniversary will be celebrated by the whole musical world in May 2013. All the piano compositions, sonatas for violin, cello, clarinet, piano trios, string and piano quartets and quintets, sextets, Hungarian Dances and Liebeslieder Waltzes - more than 80 compositions by Brahms altogether - will be performed in 17 concert programmes on the stages of the Chamber Hall of the House of Music, the Small and Rachmaninov Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and the Mirror Hall of the State Institute of Art Sciences. The concerts will be performed by distinguished musicians, including Charles Neidich, one of the best clarinetists in the world, the Brahms Trio, Alexander Knyazev, Alexei Volodin, Peter Laul, Ilya Gringolts, Yana Ivanilova and other remarkable performers. 18:00 Lara Fabian (Belgium)
Madonna Belgian-born pop singer/songwriter Lara Fabian began singing, dancing, and taking piano lessons at a very young age and began formal music lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at age eight. During her ten years of study there, Fabian started writing and performing her own songs, which were inspired as much by her classical vocal and music theory training as they were by Barbra Streisand and Queen. At 18, she sang "Croire" in the prestigious Eurovision competition and was awarded fourth prize. It's at this time that her first recordings, both on the French Tréma label, made a good impression on the public. In 1991, Fabian's French-language debut album was released in Canada and sold over 100,000 copies in three years. Throughout her career Lara collaborated with Voca People, George Perris, David Foster, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Sumi Jo, Igor Krutoy. The songs "I Will Love Again" and "Adagio" were Lara Fabian's biggest hits in the mainstream Anglophone market, but her repertoire is much larger than that, with songs like "Je T'Aime", "Broken Vow" (covered by Josh Groban and Jackie Evancho), "Je Suis Malade" (Serge Lama's original), "Immortelle", "I Guess I Loved You", "La Lettre", "On S'Aimerait Tout Bas" and any more. Her career might have suffered a decline in the already mentioned mainstream Anglophone market, but the singer, whose powerful voice can travel through 4 different octaves, still seems to have a lot to give to her fans. Her flawless vocal technique and dramatic interpretations set her apart for her fans and appreciators. In late 2012 Fabian will perform in a much larger concert tour throughout Russia, called "The Best". Fabian had invited several great musical talents from different countries to perform with her on stage.
