19:00 Russian Philharmonic Orchestra
"Romantic concerts" series. Performer - the Moscow City Symphony - Russian Philharmonic conducted by Fabio Mastrangelo (Italy-Russia). Soloists: Vyacheslav Gryaznov (piano), Sergey Antonov (cello), Nikita Borisoglebsky (violin). The program includes compositions by Rachmaninov, Davidov, Vietan. The Moscow City Symphony - Russian Philharmonic was founded by the Moscow City Government in 2000. It is the first and the only Moscow City level full symphony orchestra over the centuries-old history of the Russian capital. Appointed by the Moscow City Culture Department the initiator of founding the orchestra Gayane Shiladzhyan is its Chief Executive Officer since 2001. Alexander Vedernikov, Yury Kochnev, Maxim Fedotov held the post of Chief Conductor. Since 2011 - Dmitri Jurowski is Chief Conductor of the orchestra. Confirming the status of the orchestra of new millennium, Russian Philharmonic operates as an independent concert and production entity producing all its events and presenting more than 80 concerts at the Grand Hall of the Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the State Kremlin Palace, Crocus City Hall, Svetlanov Hall of the MIHM. Moscow City Symphony - Russian Philharmonic is resident orchestra of Moscow International House of Music (MIHM). The orchestra's repertoire includes Russian and foreign classics, works by contemporary composers. The orchestra implements large-scaled innovative projects. Legendary cantata by C. Orff Carmina Burana with large-scaled slide and video projections of the masterpieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, Bosch, Bruegel, and Durer is the most successful. These vivid visual images fill all space of the concert hall. Also, other major projects were implemented using up-to-date light projection techniques. Moscow City Symphony - Russian Philharmonic performed at the best venues of Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Oman, Slovakia, Taiwan, Turkey, Czech Republic, and Japan.
