 The gala concert of the international festival of modern dance "Jazz Congress Vortexdance-2017" is a bright event in the world of dance, which traditionally decorates the August schedule of the House of Music. leading choreographers of Russia, France, Great Britain, the USA, Stars of steppe, jazz, modern and hip-hop, Laureates of international festivals and competitions, multiple winners of Russian and world championships, soloists of the theater of dance and step-show "Vortex". For more than 10 years the Theater of Contemporary Dance "Vortex" represents the masters of modern choreography and stars-performers in the field of jazz, modern, hip-hop and steppe. The festival's gala concert always has a special atmosphere, each participant has a wonderful chance to demonstrate his skills and creative individuality, immersed in the colorful and delightful world of jazz improvisation. A bright palette of sound and energy of rhythm will create blues-jazz, afro-jazz, latin-jazz, classical jazz, modern jazz, street jazz, Broadway jazz and step.

 Mosaic Music is part of Garage Live—a special program of events that reflect on the museum’s building and its architecture. The program features concerts, artist interventions, performances and lectures. On August 22, the season will close with a concert by Norwegian-born Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Ane Brun. With seven successful albums and several awards to her name, Brun has toured across the world and recorded a song with Peter Gabriel. Her first albums, influenced by Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, were recorded to an acoustic guitar. Her third album Changing of the Seasons, produced by Valgeir Sigurðsson, who has collaborated with Bjork, Sigur Rós and CocoRosie, brought Brun international acclaim. On her latest album When I’m Free, recorded in 2015, Brun’s clever melodies, elegant arrangements and theatrical performance are accompanied by an electronic beat. On August 23, Ane Brun will perform at New Holland Island in Saint Petersburg. More info
