Ex Oriente Lux capella conducted by Andrey Kaplanov dedicated its performance to the Caecilia Romana, the patroness of musicians, whose feast day celebrates in the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, and Eastern Catholic Churches on November 22. Ex Oriente Lux united people with the desire to study and perform a huge reservoir of spiritual heritage of music - from Gregorian chant to contemporary composers, from the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods to the music of Western European composers of XX and XXI centuries. The name of the capella translates as "Light from the East" and it's largely symbolic. The concert program includes compositions by such Italian composers as Nino Rota, Galliera, Donini, Dobichi, Refiche whose music is unknown in Russia.
