20:00 Our Last Night (USA)
Our Last NightInspired by hardcore and metal, Our Last Night delivers an onslaught of taut thrashing riffs and intense hardcore breakdowns that meld perfectly with lush melodic landscapes and soaring, irresistibly catchy choruses. Sharp technical precision meets raw inspiration on songs like the addictive "Escape". Our Last Night, which consists of Trevor Wentworth (growls), Matt Wentworth (guitar, melodic vocals), Alex "Woody" Woodrow (bass), Colin Perry (guitar) and Tim Molloy (drums), was formed in 2004 by childhood friends who were fed up with merely jamming and playing cover songs. With only a few live performances under their belt, Our Last Night entered the studio shortly afterwards to record their first EP, We've Been Holding Back. Vigorous live performances helped the band earn respect and fans throughout the New England area and by 2005 they entered the studio to record their next EP, Building Cities From Scratch. In the summer of 2007, after being impressed by their self-made demos, owner and president of Epitaph Records, Brett Gurewitz, came calling and invited the band to join the label. "From the very first note of the demo I was blown away by the sophistication of their writing and the technical playing which belies their young age," said Gurewitz. "Add to that the control and range of Matt's stellar singing voice and I was sold." With only a few live performances under their belt, Our Last Night entered the studio shortly afterwards to record their first EP, We've Been Holding Back. Completed later that year, The Ghosts Among Us was released in early 2008, followed two years later by We Will All Evolve in 2010. For their next album the band began to refine their sound, moving toward a more melodic, post-hardcore sound with few metal moments on their third album, 2012's Age of Ignorance. Stepping away from most of the metalcore trappings that were scattered around their past work, Our Last Night continue to trend in a more emotional direction, using fewer breakdowns and stale production gimmicks in favor of more atmospheric electronic elements. This sea change creates an interesting dynamic: with the band's sound becoming more melodic, the gap between the autumnal post-hardcore sections and the heavy breakdowns is a lot wider, increasing the breakdowns' effectiveness by using them as sudden, violent outbursts rather than a matter of course. After three albums, it seems like Our Last Night have finally found their own voice, with Age of Ignorance feeling different enough from their other work that it, at times, seems like a reintroduction. With a fully realized post-hardcore toolbox, the band not only has a lot of tricks up its sleeve, but also has a better idea of when and where to utilize them. This more atmospheric and emotional sound will certainly prompt a period of adjustment from some longtime fans, but astute listeners will recognize Age of Ignorance as the end of a logical progression that has resulted in a more mature, versatile Our Last Night, unafraid to tinker with their sound to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. That same year, guitarist Colin Perry left the group and they began to further alter their sound, releasing an EP of cover songs as well as acoustic and electric versions of their 2013 EP Oak Islands. Our Last Night's fifth full-length album, Younger Dreams, arrived in 2015. The 11-track set, which was preceded by the singles "Home" and "A World Divided", offers up a dizzying array of styles and textures, including forays into electro-pop, punk-pop, arena-ready screamo, and soaring alt-rock. Melodic and muscular, with plenty of hooks, Younger Dreams should please longtime fans and newbies alike. Our Last Night is coming to Moscow with their Younger Dreams songs and the best hits which the fans will sing together. More info

20:00 Rocky Leon (USA)
KorovinWith a pleasant mixture of hip-hop beats, reggae and ska grooves and a rock soul Rocky Leon shines like the sun from his home, California. With his loop-station, guitar, voice, vocal beat-box and other instruments the one-man-band's positive energy, who fires up the audience and makes people happier, soon has the crowd jumping up and down. Rocky Leon was born in San Francisco in 1985 to an Austrian mother and a Brazilian father and spent his childhood moving back and forth between Austria and California and ended up going to high school and college in Austria. For Rocky a music is about celebration, he enjoys music that expresses intense emotions, whether that be joy or rage. In general Leon's music is there to remind him and the world that nothing is as big a deal as we make it seem. Singing a happy little ditty about how much he hates everything is his way of not allowing himself to take himself all too seriously. He has made his own philosophy of happiness and the main postulate of it comes to a thought that nothing is ever going to make you happy unless you learn to be happy. That means enjoying the little things in life. Fresh air, a comfortable chair, warm water, its all right there. The more you focus on the nice things the more nice things will come into your life. If your life is a race, people will try to beat you. What would they do if your life were a dance? He follows this philosophy himself and shares it with the people during his concerts aroud the world. Rocky Leon presented his album Quit Your Whining in his last visit in Moscow. Now he are coming with his new mini-album and best hits in new interpretations. More info
