19:00 Hiromi Uehara and Her Trio (Japan)
KorovinPianist and composer Hiromi Uehara, whose passionate and incendiary keyboard work has been a shining light on the jazz landscape since her 2003 debut, believes that the voice that never speaks can sometimes be the most powerful of all. Born in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1979, she took her first piano lessons at age six. She learned from her earliest piano teacher to tap into the intuitive as well as the technical aspects of music. Hiromi came to the United States in 1999 to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, an environment that pushed the limits of her artistic sensibilities even further. Her output in 2009 has been extensive. She appears on Chick Corea’s Duet, a two-disc live recording of a performance in Tokyo with pianist and mentor Chick Corea. Released in February on Concord, Duet is a collaboration by two artists from separate generations and cultures who transcend all boundaries to converse with each other with exuberance and passion. She also appeared on bassist Stanley Clarke's Jazz in the Garden, a May release on Heads Up International. Hiromi is comimg in Moscow with The Trio Project inluding two equally formidable players: bassist Anthony Jackson (Paul Simon, The O'Jays, Steely Dan, Chick Corea) and drummer Simon Phillips (Toto, The Who, Judas Priest, David Gilmour, Jack Bruce).

19:00 National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia
The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia conducted by Julian Kuerti (Canada), one of the most significant conducting talents to emerge in recent years, performs Falla, Ravel and Strauss (to the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth). Soloists: Yury Loyevsky (cello), Pavel Kolesnikov (piano). The National Philharmonic of Russia (NPR) was founded in January 2003 by the Ministry of Culture as commissioned by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Orchestra united top orchestra musicians and gifted youth. The Orchestra was headed by Vladimir Spivakov, a world-known violinist and conductor. During the five years of its activities, the NPR has succeeded in becoming one of the best symphonic orchestras of Russia and in gaining admiration from the audience and recognition from the professionals. Prominent conductors are collaborating and regularly performing with the NPR. Along with Vladimir Spivakov, the National Philharmonic of Russia prepares new programmes and gives concerts with world-known maestros James Conlon, Alexander Lazarev, as well as Krzysztof Penderecki, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, John Nelson, Hans Graf, George Cleve, Okko Kamu, Michel Plasson, Eri Klas, Saulus Sondeckis. The most important pursuit of the NPR is the continuation of the legacy and traditions of the three great Russian conductors: Evgeny Mravinsky, Kirill Kondrashin ans Evgeny Svetlanov. The Orchestra aspires to preserve the most valuable of their heritage, while forming its own style which combines great traditions and new technologies. Another important objective of the Orchestra is supporting young gifted musicians and providing appropriate conditions for their professional and artistic growth. During the 2004/05 season the Orchestra formed a group of apprentices-conductors. The brightest of them have been given the opportunity to make a debut in the NPR's concerts at the Moscow Performing Arts Centre and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. During past five years the NPR has performed with many outstanding artists, such as opera stars Jessye Norman, Kiri Te Kanawa, Renee Fleming, Angela Gheorghiu, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Kiri Te Kanawa, Dmitry Hvorostovski etc. The NPR's repertoire covers the period from early classical symphonies to the newest works of current composers.

20:00 Nazareth (UK)
MadonnaThe Scottish hard rock quartet Nazareth had a handful of hard rock hits in the late 1970s, including the proto-power ballad "Love Hurts." Formed in 1968, the band featured vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet. The band had relocated to London by 1970, and they released their self-titled debut album in 1971. Both "Nazareth" and 1972's "Exercises" received favourable attention by British hard rockers, but it was 1973's "Razamanaz" that moved them into the U.K. Top Ten (both "Broken Down Angel" and "Bad Bad Boy" were hit singles). By the mid-1980s, Nazareth was left without a record contract, so the band was put on hiatus for a few years. They returned in 1992 with "No Jive", which failed to gain an audience in America and Europe. In 1999, Nazareth resurfaced yet again with "Boogaloo". Their latest album "Big Dogz" was released in 2011 and to the present moment this creature is the last one in their 29 album list. Nazareth's 2013 album Hard'n'Heavy gathered together 18 tracks spanning some of the earliest albums to late-2000s output, including tracks from many less widely heard '80s and '90s albums. Included is the band's 1975 calling card groover and FM radio staple "Hair of the Dog". In 2012 Nazareth was in Moscow with their farewell concert giving fans a good opportunity to hear their best hits, including the ballad of 1975 "Love Hurts", and familiar style. But in 2013 the band reported on his return to the stage with anniversary tour and new album. Nazareth's new creation "Rock 'n' Roll Telephone" is their 23rd studio album including eleven rock songs ans blues ballads and the last album which was recorded with vocalist Dan McCafferty. So the band is coming in Moscow with new program dedicated to the 45th anniversary of Nazareth and with new singer Linton Osborne.
