Pratum Integrum Orchestra opens the eighth season with a concert "Bach's Sons", dedicated to the sons of the outstanding Johann Sebastian Bach. The Orchestra performs Wilhelm Friedemann Bach's symphonies in D major (F. 64; BR C8) and D minor (F. 65; BR C7), harpsichord concert in F minor and flute concert in D major. Boris Berezovsky (piano) performs Scarlatti's Three sonatas, Chopin's "Barcarola", "Polonaise-fantasy", three impromptus; Messiaen's Three plays from the series "Vingt regards sur I'Enfant-Jesus"; Ravel's Suite "Le Tombeau de Couperin". One of the most called-for performers of the present, pianist Boris Berezovsky won an international reputation as a bright, striking virtuoso and deep thinker. Aged just 19 he created the greatest stir with his debut concert at the London Wigmore Hall winning enthusiastic critic reviews. Two years later he won Tchaikovsky Competition First Prize in Moscow. Geography of his performances is increasingly wide; he collaborated with the leading orchestras conducted by the world-wide famous conductors. In 2005, Boris Berezovsky currently residing in UK was voted Musician of the Year in Britain. He is considered to be one of the best interpreters of Brahms' music. MMDM Svetlanov Hall |
