Seadrake is the name of the newest project of South African-born producer, singer and songwriter Hilton Theissen (Akanoid), Swedish songwriter Rickard Gunnarsson (Statemachine, Lowe) and Zurich-based songwriter Mathias Thürk (former Minerve). This project will blur all boundaries between music, design, art and visual media. Besides production of topnotch tracks beyond any schemes, a strong focus will be on dualism. One may expect everything from ambient inspired tracks to rock songs. This also applies to visual product presentation. The first Seadrake's single was released in February 2015. Mathias Thürk says that it was actually quite simple to come to the new formation and bring Rickard and Hilton on board: "I've known Hilton and Rickard for some time and at some point, I had the idea of launching a new project. I asked Hilton at first whether he could imagine to be singer and guitarist for this project. He was up for it and together, we started working on our songs with Olaf Wollschläger. When the question arose how to present the songs live, Rickard came into my mind and he was also up for participating in our project. Thus, we took him as our bassist aboard. And by this, the original project turned bit by bit into the band Seadrake."
