Dinara Alieva (soprano) and Lyubov Venzhik (piano) will perform Russian Romances. Just like two years ago Dinara Alieva invites Opera lovers to the festival, whose concerts will take place at one of the best academic scenes of the Moscow Conservatory Grand hall, which local musicians consider their Alma mater, and foreign guests call reference for acoustic advantages, and the audience consistently ranks as the most famous cultural attractions of the capital. Described as “a singer who possesses the gift of heaven” by soprano Montserrat Caballé, Azerbaijani soprano Dinara Alieva – winner of the 2007 international Maria Callas competition – joined the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as soloist in 2010, where she has sung lead and supporting roles in many seminal works of the operatic literature. She has since appeared at major opera houses and concert halls throughout the world – including the Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera, German Opera Berlin, and Bavarian State Opera, among others. She has performed under the batons of conductors such as Yuri Temirkanov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Constantine Orbelian, Donald Runnicles, Giuseppe Sabbatini, and Marcello Rota.

19:00 Saint Patrick's Day
Orchestra of Scottish bagpipes and drums Moscow & District Pipe Band. Special guests - Irish dance school Iridan.A pipe band is an essential part of any solemn ceremony not only in Scotland, but also in other countries of the world. This kind of musical art is to be considered more as one of many kinds of wind bands, then as a national feature. The great highland bagpipe with its centuries-old history has not lost its significance: nowadays traditional Scottish music played by pipe bands becomes more and more popular. The culture is developing and now one often can hear ethnic and modern music of various countries of the world played on highland bagpipes. Moscow & District Pipe Band is the first band who does it in Russia! Iridan is a Russian representative of a classical Irish dance school. In January, 2000 future art-director of Iridan Igor Denisov had organized the first class of Irish dance for a group of enthusiasts. The classes were very energetic and full of inspiration so in a month`s time a big figure dance was completed. This success gave the idea of establishing a school and already on the March,1 2000 the first lesson for a big group of beginners took place, and this day is traditionally celebrated as an Iridan`s birthday. Russian Dancers have already taken part in European competitions, exhibiting the high level of skill and winning medals. And at september, 2008, Moscow became one of points of interest for irish dancers, hosting the first open feis. More than 540 dancers were competing during the Third Moscow Open Feis at the end of September, 2010.
