19:00 Diane Schuur (USA)
Diane SchuurDiane Schuur, nicknamed "Deedles", was born on December 10, 1953 in Tacoma, Washington. She is a widely known American jazz singer and pianist witha rich and interesting repertoire. Early in her career she had the tendency to screech in her upper register but with maturity that flaw has largely disappeared and she has become a very impressive singer. Blinded at birth due to a hospital accident, Schuur (who would later be nicknamed "Deedles") imitated singers as a child. She had her first gig at a Holiday Inn when just ten and originally sang country music. The turning point in her career occurred when she sang "Amazing Grace" at the 1979 Monterey Jazz Festival, greatly impressing Stan Getz. After Getz featured her singing at a televised concert from the White House in 1982, Schuur was signed to GRP and began recording regularly. She has won two Grammy Awards, headlined many of the world's most prestigious music venues, including Carnegie Hall and The White House and has toured the world performing with such greats as Quincy Jones, B.B.King, Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder.

20:00 Rammstein (Germany), Deathstars (Sweden)
Formed in 1994 in East Berlin, Germany, this confrontational alternative rock band takes its name indirectly from the western German town of Ramstein, site of an airshow disaster in 1988. The band's signature song, the eponymous "Rammstein", is a commemoration of the tragedy that took place at the Ramstein Air Base. The extra "m" in the band's name means that it translates literally as "ramming stone", or "battering ram". The bands style, an explosive mixture of horror, romantism, explosive and unhinged live shows and dark heavy music quickly made them famous throughout the world. Even though the majority of the group's lyrics is in German, the band has enjoyed success in a huge number of countries outside of Germany, including Russia as well. During their concerts in Moscow Rammstein are going to share the scene with another well-know industrial metal band - Swedish Deathstars. Read more
